Vicky & Saurabh

When we first spoke with Vicky and Saurabh, we knew their love story was something special. Having already eloped on a mountain top in British Columbia, their Toronto celebration was about so much more than a wedding—it was a blend of tradition, love, and community that honoured their cultural roots and shared joy with loved ones.

From the initial discovery call, we connected deeply with their vision. It was as if their ideas had been lifted straight from our mood board! Their celebration really reminded us why we do what we do: to capture stories that are as unique and beautiful as the couples who live them.

The first day honoured Vicky's Chinese heritage with a family dinner at a traditional Chinese banquet restaurant. Before the dinner, we joined the couple and their family at Richmond Green Park for portraits. The park's calm, fall atmosphere paired with perfect golden hour lighting helped set the tone for the perfect wedding photos.

From there, the day transitioned into a warm and intimate banquet filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and the undeniable comfort of a shared meal surrounded by family.

The second day celebrated Saurabh's Indian roots at a Hindu temple in Hamilton. Vibrant colours, intricate rituals, and sacred prayers filled the ceremony with profound cultural meaning.

Before the ceremony, we captured some traditional portraits at a nearby park. The natural beauty of the area, along with the couple's stunning traditional attire, brought the perfect blend of culture and elegance to these photos. These moments were a beautiful reflection of the deep connection Saurabh's family shares through their traditions.

The final day of celebrations was a modern Western-style wedding at Minami, a Japanese fusion restaurant in Downtown Toronto. Vicky and Saurabh wanted their love story to include spots that reflected their connection to the city where they grew up. After getting ready at Minami, we started our route towards Union Station, where golden hour light peaked out behind the CN Tower as well as through the windows inside Union, giving pure cinematic feels. After that, a quick ride brought us to the classic Distillery District, with its cobblestone streets and historic architecture framing their love story. As the day transitioned into evening, we returned to Minami just in time to capture the sun setting perfectly on King Street, painting the skyline in warm yellow and orange hues.

Inside the restaurant, the celebration buzzed with joy as friends and family toasted to the couple's happiness. The energy peaked with a traditional lion dance performance, symbolizing good luck and prosperity, before the night ended with everyone dancing the night away in celebration of Vicky and Saurabh's love.
